The British involvement in other countries was not perfect but without it many of the most important advancements in tropical medicine engineering law democracy etc etc would never have happened. The unjust systems in india have for hundreds of years kept millions of people in poverty. Blaming Britain for this is a good way of deflecting their own failings. Geoffrey Lages Christianity already existed in india long before the British came to India.
