Joy Ward do you realise that we are in the middle of a drought here??? And we are a massive country. We don't have enough water to do what you suggest. We barely have enough water to do what is being done. And even if we had the amount of water required to do that, we simply don't have the resources to move that amount of water, and certainly not in a timely manner. I know people who have had water and retardants dropped on their houses several times over the last few months, and their properties have still not come out of it completely unscorched. Their surrounding land has all been burnt.
