González is an editor and author of non-fiction, poetry, novels and bilingual children’s books. He is the author of several books of poetry, including “Unpeopled Eden” (2013), “Black Blossoms” (2011), and “Other Fugitives and Other Strangers” (2006). Some of his novels include “Mariposa Gown” (2012), “Mariposa Club” (2010) and “Crossing Vines” (2003). González is the recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. He is a contributing editor for Poets and Writers and a founding member of the Advisory Circle of Con Tinta, a collective of Chicano/Latino activist-writers.
